Coffee Chat - someone else

Yay....   Tuesday ... Coffee Chat time!

This is one of my favorite spots of the week.....
Really easy.... Hop on over to my sister from another mother over at  Time out for Mom for her weekly coffee chat....this week's topic:

Not Myself These Days:  If you could live another person's life for a week, who would you choose?    Will it be the opposite sex?  A celebrity?   Or, make the prompt interesting: is it the cat's life for you?

If I could live another person's life for a week, it would have to be a younger version of myself. I would love to go back to a week when I was twenty and ENJOY it...rather than look back on that year longingly. I was living in a dorm --actually was an RA, had a gorgeous boyfriend, was studying history and living in Santa Barbara, CA ..... you know where the sun shines throughout the winter and having a tan is expected.  But rather than live in the moment I was a worry wart....about absolutely everything! and it was the first time I remember being a deep depression..... SO if I could back to that year and one week in it.... I think it would probably change the entire outcome of the rest of my life. (but then I wouldn't have my wonderful kids....) (or would I??)

Hop on over to Les's house to see what everyone else had to say...

  1. Oh to be young again - knowing what we know now! Wouldn't that be something - but so true about the kids - couldn't change too much or they wouldn't be here.

    1. that is the ONLY drawback to going back!

  2. I wouldn't want to be 20 again. The best years came later and I am living my dream now.

    1. my 20's were not my favorite time either....but I think i could do it better the second time around

  3. Fantastic thought! Love that you choose to revisit youth and bring your current wisdom along. It is interesting to ponder (ha!) what differences or changes we could bring to our younger selves, isn't it? Have we pondered "age" yet? would be a good one!

I would love to revisit my younger self too. thinking on back I realize I am one of the lucky ones who probably wouldn't change a thing. Well, maybe more ice tea and a little less beer at university, so that I actually might remember some if it (ahem), but other than that, I really enjoyed it.
there is that one boyfriend though...knowing what I know now, I definitely would not have stayed so long.

Comments are a gift... thank you!
