This is my weekly hop where I post a prompt and you get to write to it on your - come back here and add it to my linky and then we all get to go read what you wrote!
The rules are really easy:
1. Grab the Pondering with a Purpose Badge (in my sidebar)
2. Look at the week's prompt
3. Post something on your blog that relates to the prompt - it can be a story, a poem, a picture -- anything you want it to be.
4. Come back here and add the URL from your post to the linky list below.
5. Go check out the other bloggers who have added their links to the list.
6. AND most of all.... Have fun!
Today's prompt is: Knot
Isn't this a pretty knot? Have you ever tied two different colors together with knots to see what they make.... I do all the time... it is called crochet! or Macrame or even knitting .... all these ways to use knots in a pretty way.... but what about the knot in a tree...
Or the knot in your stomach (not to be confused with the butterflies that reside there)...
Now here is a new meaning.... a group of people is called a knot...
or to ravel or entangle.
I'd love to see what you do with this word. Leave me a comment, or link up a post... or better yet both!
Happy Pondering
what a perfect topic for today...
ReplyDeleteLove the topic as well. I look forward to Thursdays!
ReplyDeleteThanks Judy
DeleteNow why didn't I think of crochet! It is just a bunch of different knots.
ReplyDeleteEXACTLY~!
DeleteI am always untangling knots in my yarn, thanks to my pupppy.
ReplyDeletelol.... me too!
DeleteI waited to post my story until I got the word from my daughter that the papers were finalized, this just seemed to be the perfect prompt to share an update on her story!
ReplyDelete:)
DeleteI was happy to come up with a true story, and on time! Thanks for the opportunity to share!
ReplyDeleteI would be remiss if I didn't add a second link today... it's a post about knots that I did in 2011, and although I didn't write the content it's been a very popular post with readers. I thought anyone here who hasn't already read it might enjoy it too.
ReplyDeleteAck, so sorry sis! Had company all day and didn't have a chance to get a post done!
ReplyDeleteI feel bad...I guess you could say my stomach is in knots!! haha
what's really amazing, is just how many different kinds of knots there are!! my favourite are the Celtic Knots -- so intricate.
there's also a bird called a Red Knot.
the other thing I thought of - as per last week's post showcasing windsurfing in my hometown - was the wind measurement: "knot" used to determine speed of wind.
I havent crochet in so long... I never heard of a group of people called a knot - I learn something new from you all the time!
